The Tennis Center at Ballymeade, featuring six "Har Tru" courts and four hard surface courts, is viewed by many as the best multi-surface tennis facility on Cape Cod. We also have a grass pitch perfect for Croquet!
Ballymeade Country Club offers summer programs for tennis players of all abilities and ages. The Tennis Center at Ballymeade is being managed by Roberts Tennis Academy (RTA) in conjunction with the Willows Racquet Club in North Andover and GGM Tennis Academy.
There are a multitude of programs available based on need and skill level. We have weekly classes at all levels. Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate player or a competitor looking for some intense training, Roberts Tennis Academy has programs available. RTA specializes in toddler, teen and adult tennis.
Our approach to the game of tennis is comprehensive. Our training programs consist of stroke production, intensive drill sessions, footwork fundamentals, and match play strategies. We have group instruction for players of every ability level with classes every weekday.

About Mike Roberts, RTA Director & Head Pro
Mike Roberts has been coaching tennis since 1987 when he was the Head Coach for Bangor’s Parks and Recreation department. His formal tennis education comes from the Associates Program in Applied Science of Tennis at Tyler Junior College in Texas. He has over 20 years of experience in coaching.
Mike is a versatile coach who has excelled in multiple sports. He is the director and founder of Roberts Tennis Academy (RTA). RTA has been based out of the Willows Racquet Club in North Andover, MA since 1998. He has been a member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) since 1987. He is also a USPTR & USPTA Certified Pro. He has led both Women’s and Boys Varsity Teams to league championships and national competition.
In addition to tennis, Mike has owned and operated 2 gymnastics schools. He has produced two National team members, was named regional coach 6 times, coached teams to two national team championship victories and has been asked to speak at many coaching conferences across the country.

Andrew Zappala– Assistant Head Pro & Junior Director
Andrew will be back for a second year. Those of you who know him from last year know that Andrew is an excellent coach both with juniors and adults. Andrew Zapala has been teaching tennis for the last 5 years. He will be at Ballymeade again this year running many junior classes, as well as getting more involved with coaching adults.
Bob Kroeger - Croquet Professional
Bob started playing competitive croquet at age 11, and since 1984, has been professionally involved with the sport. His many competitive achievements include two National Championships as well as several Regional and Invitational titles. Bob was a member of the United States National Croquet Team from 1988 - 1993. In 1999, he was inducted into the Croquet Hall of Fame. He is currently and has been for several years, the Director of USCA Instructional Schools at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, FL.
